Marketing: Event Marketing
Intern will support Pro Tennis Marketing team of marketing efforts of the US Open Tennis Championships and Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati, OH.  Proof of Covid Vaccination required. 
  • Research and compile weekly marketing trend analysis to identify emerging trends in sports and brand marketing landscape. 
  • Analyze ticket buyer data for US Open and Western and Southern Open to develop a robust assessment of marketing effectiveness of ticket sales campaign to determine acquisition cost and lifetime value of customer for both major events.
  • Partner with marketing team on email marketing strategy including the development of creative/subject line tests & analysis, email database growth tactics, and performance reporting
  • Conceptualize and propose relevant content ideas and strategies to implement across pro tennis owned assets (i.e. US Open, Western and Southern Open, etc.) 
  • Support marketing team on key projects for the US Open, Western and Southern Open and USTA Team Events including:
  • Contribute to the development and update of marketing assets on owned sites (i.e. Event Guide)
  • Track and record all US Open marketing initiatives for post tournament report
  • Support marketing team’s digital and paid social media strategy:
  • Conduct competitor audits and provide reports on similar sporting events including Wimbledon and Roland Garros’ digital and social channels (pre-tournament & in-tournament) to help improve and optimize our marketing tactics
  • Monitor and measure content on USTA owned social channels and share weekly insights of key high-level takeaways, i.e. top performing posts, underperforming content, etc. to help inform US Open paid social content
  • Assist with the organization of marketing materials to promote US Open Fan Week Events 
  • Develop new and creative ways to help expand the US Open influencer program
  • Support marketing team with administrative marketing tasks to assist with additional USTA owned assets (i.e. Western & Southern Open and team events)
  • Support activations related to US Open social justice campaign “Be Open” to connect with diverse audiences
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical skills, experienced with Excel and PowerPoint
Qualifications
Applicants must be first year MBA/Graduate students; concentration in Marketing is preferred. Strong analytical and communication skills (written and verbal), as well as proficiency with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, etc), Excel and Powerpoint

Internship dates: June 19th through August 12th
Salary: $25/hr
Monday through Thursday 9am - 5pm, no work Friday
Hybrid internship with 2-3 days in the office each week. 
Candidates must have access to Wi-Fi during work hours and be able to connect to video conferencing when working from home
Housing will not be provided
