Marketing: Sales & Marketing Management
Responsible for the overall strategic planning and execution for the USTA National Campus in the areas of Tennis Program Sales, Community Relations, and National Campus Marketing. This role is responsible for driving new events, camps, and alternative event revenue at the National Campus. Proof of Covid Vaccination required.
Responsibilities
 SALES
  • Responsible for creating and managing additional revenue through events
  • Identify and oversee key areas that have the most potential to generate new revenue and build strategic sales campaigns to support them (Adult Camps, Cardio Tennis, Intro to Tennis, Social events, and non-tennis opportunities)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with USTA sections to bring camps and events to the National Campus
  • Work in collaboration with the National Campus programs/events teams and using their business goals as the guide, develop a year-round sales strategy that creates a personalized experience for every participant, starting with their first engagement with us and continues throughout the lifecycle of the customer
 COMMUNITY OUTREACH
  • Positioning the USTA National Campus as a pillar in the community by creating awareness through community events and marketing campaigns that will drive traffic to the USTA National Campus, locally, regionally, and nationally and further the mission of promoting and growing the game of tennis at all levels.
  • Manage relationships with local companies/community stakeholders, such as Visit Orlando, Orlando Sports Commission, schools, local businesses, and nonprofits to drive new events, camps or programming to the National Campus
  • Plan,implement and manage community events, programs, partnerships, and other engagement initiatives via our current partners or with new
  • Attend and be an active participant in community meetings on behalf of USTA to provide information about community engagement and advocate for
  • Responsible for attending and developing relationships with non-USTA community leaders to better understand community interests and activities. Distribute USTA National Campus information to our partners and broader publics through multiple channels including social media, email, and grassroots marketing.
MARKETING
  • Be the point person for the development and production of any local ads/stories in Community Newspaper, Nonahood Newspaper
  • Create a customer journey when registering for programs that would include welcome emails, promotional items, and best opportunities to retain the guest for future programming
  • Maintain the National Campus website and social media content and promotion of upcoming programs and events while working with Tavistock and other partners to cross-promote our programs and events via their newsletters, community events, and social media
  • Manage the day-to-day marketing requests coming from the programs/events team and execute those requests in a timely manner to support business goals.
  • Responsible for the management and production and distribution of the monthly National Campus email newsletter
  • Create dashboards and tools for internal and external evaluation of engagement
  • Responsible for the scheduling, organization and implementation of meetings, surveys, and other ways for communicating with, and receiving feedback from, the community about the USTA and its initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/ Marketing Communications or experience in related field
  • Proficient computer skills Extensive work in MS Office/Google Suite
  • 5+ years marketing experience in the events/sports industry a plus
  • Sales experience a plus
  • Experience and savvy in using the Internet for extensive research.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS PowerPoint
  • Proof of Covid Vaccination required for position
