Work in cooperation with the Managing Director Section Support and Services to develop the USTA’s overall vision and strategy for the continued support and service for USTA Sections.

Responsibilities
  • Be a catalyst to positively impact the culture of collaboration among national and the sections.
  • Serve in a crucial role as part of an agile team within the organization, working diligently and flexibly to support the success of the USTA Sections.
  • Identify the business planning approaches taken by all Sections to deliver on their mission and strategic plans and provide recommendations to optimize their strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sections to conduct analysis including financial and marketplace implications to identify key strategies and organization structures to support the achievement of their annual KPIs and goals.
  • Identify data resources utilized by Sections in making strategic business decisions and recommend solutions to provide additional critical data resources for Sections.
  • Refine the overall USTA communication strategy with Section Executive Directors, Presidents, and Delegates.
  • Support the implementation of shared services with national and all sections in order to reduce the administrative burden of Sections and to free up resources to support the mission.
  • Regularly attend virtual and face-to-face meetings with sections to facilitate collaboration.
  • Work collaboratively with other USTA Community Tennis business units including Diversity and Inclusion, Marketing, Engagement, Competitive, Grassroots, Collegiate, Player Development, Coaching and USTA Foundation in order to connect resources between the business units and USTA Sections.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership/management and business capability
  • Ability to lead, inspire and enroll others, strong communication skills
  • Experience with financial statements and data analytics
  • Advanced project management capabilities
  • Knowledge of USTA infrastructure a plus
  • The ability to navigate effectively within the USTA and build strong working relationships with Section leadership
  • Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional people skills including the ability to influence and resolve conflicts
  • Experience in utilizing data and research
  • 10 years sports industry experience with a wide range of strategic planning, financial analysis, and marketing expertise required.
