Candidate will increase the number of engaged providers and players through the integration of a new USTA strategy throughout the United States with a focus on adding value within a B2B and B2C framework. Duties include but not limited to:
  • Direct the development and implementation of overall business plans and strategies designed to increase B2B and B2C Engagement (Membership) with a focus on tiered levels of engagement and value. 
  • Work with Marketing, Digital IT and USTA Sections to integrate membership strategies into overall association business plans for increasing engagement and participation in the sport of tennis. 
  • Lead the ‘Go to Market’ for the new digital tool Serve Tennis and its business operations to support the growth of the game across all channels of the tennis ecosystem
  • Manage the staff that focuses on all major community tennis activations in the US, which includes Arthur Ashe Kids Day and the US Open and US Open Series. This will include the development of ideas and concepts of introducing new players to the game. Work with the Data Team to analyze, report on, and utilize member data to drive deeper engagement with providers and players. 
  • Work closely with USTA family and the industry on adoption and implementation of new engagement models.
  • Lead the development of strong industry wide partnerships to support the growth of the game. These partnerships will include the TIA, Racquet Manufacturers, Retailers, Large Facility Operators and other tennis organizations that are focused on growing the game.
  • Direct the integration of new USTA programs and services into the USTA B2B and B2C Membership strategies for providers and players.  
  • Front facing leader to the racquet sports industry to develop the strategy and the integration of other racquet sports in the US. These include pickleball, padel and pop
  • Develop new products and/or packaging of existing products to increase market penetration.
Qualifications/Other:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred 
  • Outstanding Sales experience and product growth
  • Minimum 15 years work experience in B2B and B2C 
  • Experience in new product development and ‘go to market’ strategies
  • Intimate knowledge and strong relationships with the tennis ecosystem and industry
  • Digital marketing experience 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must have successfully managed a team of direct reports
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Budget and forecasting experience
  • Flexibility to manage new development projects while meeting the ongoing needs of the business
  • Team player
