Overview

The Sponsorship Manager is responsible for all aspects of corporate sponsor sales, activation and management for the ITHF. Current ITHF sponsorship assets include the Hall of Fame Open, Hall of Fame Weekend, The Legends Ball, Fan Voting, TennisWorthy and the Museum. The position is based in Newport, RI and reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities and Priorities

Develop sponsor sales strategies and plans in conjunction with ITHF sales agencies
Manage the sponsorship cost center including budgeting, sales tracking vs. budget/goals and invoicing
Assist in identifying target categories and companies
Identify and contact local/regional sponsor and exhibitor prospects
Create proposals and presentations
Prepare agreements
Manage sponsor renewals
Coordinate activation and fulfillment efforts

Required Skills

Ability to think strategically and execute effectively
Strong organization, planning and communication skills
Ability to conduct outbound sales
Experience preparing proposals and presentations
Comfortable working with legal agreements
Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of sports, event or entertainment sponsorship experience at the national or regional level
Undergraduate degree required
Knowledge and appreciation of the sport of tennis
Tennis industry experience or involvement with the sport not required but beneficial
