Position Overview:
The PPA Tour is seeking an accomplished and strategic Director of Brand Marketing to oversee all aspects of our brand identity, creative content, and marketing campaigns. This individual will be a central leader in the organization, responsible for articulating our brand vision and ensuring it is consistently and compellingly expressed across all platforms. The ideal candidate will be a master project manager, a creative innovator, and a collaborative team player with a passion for building brands in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Development
- Support development and execution comprehensive brand strategy and campaigns aligned with the league and tour’s vision and goals.
- Lead project management and creative intake for interdepartmental requests - prioritizing key strategic initiatives and managing the process for other ancillary programs
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visuals across all platforms, events, and campaigns, quarterbacking the marketing team to drive key messaging
- Build, own and maintain the organizational strategic marketing initiative calendar.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to position PPA as leading global sports brands.
Creative Content & Marketing Materials
- Work with the marketing team and submit brand-forward compelling graphics, videos, and other marketing assets that capture the energy and essence of our league and tour.
- Partner with designers, photographers, and videographers to produce high-quality content for digital and traditional platforms.
- Develop innovative campaigns to promote events, players, and the league and tour’s core values.
Brand Campaigns and Content
- Collaborate with the digital team to implement strategies that increase engagement and followers across social media channels.
- Lead the process of ideation for brand-forward content outside of day-to-day event coverage.
- Ensure all content reflects the league’s brand identity and resonates with target audiences.
Partnerships & Collaborations
- Work with sponsors and partners to align on co-branded initiatives and promotional opportunities.
- Identify new media & broadcast partnerships to enhance the league’s visibility and market reach.
Event Support
- Provide branding and marketing guidance with the production and operations teams, including ticket promotion, content support, and on-site activations.
- Ensure a seamless integration of the league’s visual and brand identity into event execution.
Qualifications:
- 5 years proven experience in a brand or marketing role, with a strong portfolio of successful brand campaigns and content initiatives. Experience in the sports industry is a plus.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- A creative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of brand development and digital marketing best practices.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire a team and work effectively across multiple departments.
- Proficiency in working with creative teams and external vendors (designers, photographers, videographers).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A passion for sports and a general understanding of the professional sports landscape. Experience in sports marketing is a significant plus.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed for major events and partner meetings. Anticipated approximately 4 tournaments per year.
