Internship: Internship
The Genesis Invitational Tournament interns are significant resources to TGR Live and the TGR Foundation and are essential to the success of The Genesis Invitational. Tournament interns will be exposed to several facets of the tournament and event management operations in preparation for the 2020 event to be held February 10-16 at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, CA. Positions are open to undergraduate, graduate students, and recent graduates (sports marketing and business majors preferred, but not required.)

Applicants must:
  • Be available to work approximately 25-40 hours/week (early mornings, late nights, weekends) including the entire week of February 10-16;
  • Work efficiently under pressure and work on several projects simultaneously prioritizing time-sensitive projects;
  • Take initiative and operate proactively in project management and problem solving;
  • Be organized with attention to detail and follow through;
  • Be comfortable working both in office and on-course environments;
  • Have excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Be proficient in MS Office;
  • Be a team player;
  • Be able to provide their own housing and reliable transportation to The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, CA.
  • Payment: All positions are paid on a stipend.

HOSPITALITY & EVENTS INTERN:
Candidates for this position must have strong interpersonal communication skills, must be extroverted, organized, as well as a self-starter. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for planning and execution of on-site sponsor events and Media Day in coordination
with designated full-time events team member
  • Assist with digital ticket fulfillment via Archtics, ticket tracking, & sponsor inquiries
  • Assist with sponsor and vendor load-in i.e. coordinate schedules and set load-in expectations,
    maintain incoming packages through the Warehouse log, connect with operations to address all
    needs, work with hospitality team to execute
  • Manage hospitality signage approval process by coordinating with the operations team and
    Sponsor Relations CP intern
  • Assist with furniture vendor communication including but not limited to inventory, pricing, layouts, etc. and oversee furniture load-in during advance week
  • Assist coordinator with food and beverage menu enhancements for hospitality partners
  • Support floral management, delivery and placement leading up to and during tournament week
  • Assist coordinator with Sponsor Value Program. Program: predetermined sponsors have the
    opportunity to interact with players through a clinic, meet & greet, etc. Help coordinate timing
    and all arrival information for select sponsors.
  • Assist the hospitality team with sponsor hospitality duties including but not limited to venue setup/clean-up, food and beverage check, etc. in addition to oversight of assigned location(s) on course
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 30 lbs
  • Assist with daily tournament activities as assigned (e.g., HQ admin, answering phones, and
    miscellaneous tasks)

START/END DATE: Monday, November 4 – Friday, February 21
