The National tournament interns are significant resources to TGR Live and the Tiger Woods Foundation, they are essential to the success of The National.  Tournament interns will be exposed to many facets of tournament and event management operations in preparation for the 2018 tournament. Positions are open to undergraduate & graduate students (sports marketing and business majors preferred, but not required). 
Internships are available in six different departments; please read the descriptions below carefully to identify what position you are applying for. To be considered, you must submit both a cover letter and resume.
Applicants must:
  • work efficiently under pressure and balance multiple responsibilities while being organized;
  • be comfortable working both in office and on-course environments;
  • have excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • be proficient in MS Office;
  • be a team player;
  • expect to work approximately 30-40 hours/week (early mornings, late nights, weekends);
  • be able to provide their own housing and reliable transportation.
  • Duration: March to July 2018
  • Location: Potomac, MD
  • Payment:  Monthly stipend

Digital Content & Tournament Marketing:
Must have excellent oral, written and digital communication skills, work well under pressure, be highly motivated, organized, friendly and a team player. Video production experience (shooting, editing) required. Experience planning and executing social media content a plus. Strong computer skills are also required with proficiency in Word, MS Office and Excel. Adobe Creative Suite skills are required.  Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Work directly with the marketing and public relations department on all external communications supporting marketing and promotional efforts for the National and other TGR Live event projects.
  • Shoot and edit video to produce content aimed to support marketing and sales campaigns for The National.
  • Assist with content planning, creation and distribution to promote The National, focusing in digital content for web and social media.
  • Assist in the creation and development of social media campaigns aimed at driving engagement with target audiences.
  • Assist with writing and editing of digital marketing materials including emails, blogs and web content.
  • Plan, execute and staff marketing and promotional grassroots street teams events with the mission to create awareness of The National.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the communications team or other TGR Live staff member.
* This position may be asked to commute to DC on a regular basis.
