Title: TICKETING & CREDENTIALS INTERN

Reports To: Ryan Beech, Director, Ticketing & Credentials

Required Dates &:

Hours February - April: 20-30 hours/week

May – June 4: 30-40 hours/week (overtime only if needed during Tournament)

June 5 – August: 15-20 hours/week (Ally & Ascension preparation)

August – September: 15-20 hours/week (Customer Service and Travel for Ally Challenge & Ascension Charity Classic)

Housing: Applicants are responsible for their own housing

Compensation: $12.50/hour

Position Overview:

The Ticketing & Credentials Intern supports the credentials team leading up to and through the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren and The Ascension Charity Classic presented by Emerson. The Ticketing & Credentials Intern will assist patrons with purchasing Tournament badges/tickets, fulfilment of orders and post-event reconciliation.

Goals for Ticketing & Credentials Intern:

- Gain deeper knowledge of the ticketing process for the Memorial Tournament, The Ally Challenge and The Ascension Charity Classic

- Develop interpersonal and customer service skills

- Learn how to provide onsite support for large-scale events

- Grow in a team-oriented, professional environment

- Build a network of associates by partnering with other Tournament interns

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist with daily operations within the Ticket Office

- Assist customers over the phone and via email by helping place orders and answering customer inquiries

- Make outgoing phone calls to patrons who have not yet purchased their credentials for the Memorial Tournament

- Use our online ticketing systems to process and edit orders

- Assist in credential reconciliation and mailing efforts

- Support the Sales and Marketing teams in partnership with the Sales and Marketing interns as needed

- Provide onsite support for the Ticket Office during Tournament week

- Inventory and organize leftover materials post-tournament

- Manage, track, and troubleshoot member ticket orders for both Ally & Ascension tournaments

Qualifications:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Demonstrated organizational proficiency

- Deep understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel

- Team-oriented and positive attitude

- Ability to work night and weekend hours as needed leading into and during Tournament weeks

- Ability to lift 25 pounds preferred

The Memorial Tournament presented by Workday is held annually at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. This 54-hole stroke play golf tournament features 78 PGA TOUR Champions professionals competing for a $2 million purse at the historic Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The event is designed to showcase the best golf on the PGA TOUR Champions for the enjoyment of spectators and to benefit local charities in the greater Flint area. All three official rounds will be internationally televised on the Golf Channel.
