Communications/Community Relations: Communications Department Management
The First Tee national headquarters has an opportunity for a Director, Chapter Relationships, reporting to the Senior Director, Chapter Relationships. This position is based in St. Augustine, Florida and oversees the entire chapter network to advance the mission and goals of The First Tee by providing leadership, initiative and innovation to develop and manage a team driving chapter health, sustainability and growth. This role must integrate effective, learned strategic, financial, business and relationship management strategies in addition to data-driven decision-making to facilitate a healthy, growing network.

Qualified candidates will have the following:
  •  10+ years’ experience in sports, non-profit or business management, communications or related fields
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sports or Program Management, Nonprofit Management or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience preferred in network or similar chapter network with proven abilities to develop and execute strategic business plan comprising of strategic alliances, program innovation, and effective business practices and processes
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Ability to work in an agile fast-paced environment managing multiple people and projects 
  • Communication and computer skills (Salesforce or similar CRM, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications)

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, initiative and innovation to develop and manage team of Directors who manage relationships with chapter partners
  • Evaluate chapter and network health including performance tools and evaluation metrics
  • Serve as a thought partner to chapters in developing local strategies  
  • Offer effective on-boarding and educational opportunities for chapter leadership teams. 
  • Work with Network Relations and Communications teams to develop and facilitate strategies that align with overall business strategies.
  • Drive The First Tee and network innovation including integrating strategies for change management, and leveraging the on-going digital transformation for transparent and real-time data management and sharing.
  • Strategically partner to advance the visibility and partnership with other youth-serving and golf organizations.
  • Oversee facilitation of chapter license agreement execution, renewals and changes.
