Internship Summary
The Pinnacle Bank Championship internship program consists of 3 positions focusing on different departments: Hospitality, Operations and Sponsor Relations. Please see the attached job descriptions for details about each position. Each intern will have their own area of focus but will work as a team on certain projects and tasks related to the planning and execution of tournament week and the ancillary events associated with the Pinnacle Bank Championship.
Necessary Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in your sophomore, junior or senior year at an accredited college or university.
- Experience in sports management/sports marketing/event planning is a plus
- Passion for sports and knowledge of the game of golf is a plus
- Superior oral and written communications skills
- Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks
- Willingness to be flexible with tasks and superior understanding of prioritization
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Knowledge about Microsoft Office Suit
Application Information
- Anticipated start date mid-May (flexible depending on availability). May is an unpaid month
- For the first month, we may have students working 20-30 hours per week, then increase hours after this, depending on what our workload is (there will be a lot to do)
- Paying $12.00 an hour, then time and a half once hit 40 hours, starting June 1
- Expect to work all weekends after the 4th of July
- End date of August 25th (date is flexible to accommodate return to school)

Hospitality Intern Responsibilities
- Communicate with vendors for beverage and supply orders inventory and delivery
- Control inventories of food, equipment, smallware, and liquor, and report to designated personnel
- Attend volunteer leadership meetings and stay up to date on committee needs and schedule; especially bartending volunteers
- Coordinate with vendor to create tournament beverage ordering system and conduct proper staff and volunteer trainings
- Work with Operations Intern to organize move to and from Indian Creek
- Create inventory tracking system and order form for onsite beverage distribution
- Work with Sponsor Relations Intern to manage opening and closing procedures for hospitality spaces (concession stands and sponsor pavilions)
- Work with distribution volunteers for best practices and protocol of distribution
- Work with vendors to create and print cocktail menus of specialty drink offerings
- Create and print Pro-Am drink menus and communicate with Indian Creek Snack Bar Staff to coordinate pick up
- Create and print concession menus for all concession areas
- Coordinate with Sales Director and Operations Director to determine sponsor reserved seat layout and ordering appropriate logoed merchandise
- Track hospitality supply inventory and clean/order items
- Set up pavilion spaces by placing tables, linens, bar supplies, etc.
- Attend meetings for volunteer bartending charities
- Manage Coke cooler and product placement in all structures
- Edit and send letters to neighborhood business’
- Set up media room & coordinate vendors have what they need
- Assist in planning, organizing, and layout of tournament events: Media Day, Pairings Party, etc.
General Duties
- Must be comfortable managing people and giving direction
- Assist other interns, tournament staff and volunteers as needed
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Exhibit a high standard of customer service at all times
Post Event
- Inventory, organize, and create tracking records of all TSL storage containers and office supplies
- Manage product return to vendors
- Generate invoices and tracking documentation
- Manage move of product and equipment back to Tournament office
- Reach out to and coordinate donations of leftover product to local non-profits
- Create analysis of beverage distribution to calculate inventory and create financial analysis to show shrinkage and area of improvement
