Job Description Summary
A user experience designer will help shape the PGA TOUR’s digital experience for millions of golf fans. In this role a user experience designer will collaborate with members of the Product and Technology teams to conceptualize, wireframe, prototype and design product enhancements for the TOUR’s digital platforms. A qualified candidate will have experience in both mobile app and website design, showcasing an ability to create simple and elegant solutions for users.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in user experience design, with a focus on customer-facing digital products and technologies
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end user experience processes and workflows, including user journeys, wireframing, prototyping
- Strong understanding of mobile standards (Apple Human Interface Guidelines, Android Material Design), trends, techniques and best practices
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Experience working with an internal software development team and/or external development partners
- Familiarity with software development life-cycle methodologies such as SCRUM and Agile
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Strong writing and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Experience with usability testing and platforms like UserTesting.com
- Experience in search engine optimization and accessibility standards
- Sports background/knowledge
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Create user flows, wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes for digital products (website and apps)
- Design key screens and pages for development teams
- Work closely with internal and agency teams to build and ship additional detailed designs, as necessary
- Communicate UX and design decisions effectively to stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Product team to research fan behavior and conduct usability testing
- Work with Product Managers and Developers to document and review user interface requirements
- Design for accessibility standards and optimize for SEO
- Update and maintain design systems for digital products
