QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Sports Management, Communications or related or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 5 years of tournament administration experience required.
Must possess strong leadership, decision making, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
In-depth knowledge of the Rules of Golf.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends for an extended period of time. Requires extensive travel domestically and internationally.
Able to safely operate a utility vehicle such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Coordinates work schedule for all Scoring Officials
Coordinates all starting/scoring duties at on-going tournaments
Manages field and Pro-Am updates once on site and reports all changes to Advance Rules Official
Prepares/coordinates all administrative materials to be used on-site and returned to headquarters at the conclusion of tournaments.
Acts as Scoring Official
Serves as the liaison between Rules Committee and Competitions Department at headquarters
Prepares all tournament related materials to be archived and returned to headquarters
Assists Rules Committee during weather related tournament matters
Manages Electronic Player Registration and trains volunteers at Player Registration
Coordinates with headquarters all on-site credentials
Assists the Advance Official in the management of the on-site PGA TOUR Office.
Coordinates all special projects to streamline tournament administration matters
Serves as information resource for players to Rules Committee
Works with Transportation Chairman to assure player compliance with Courtesy Car Program
Attends Rules of Golf Workshops to further Rules knowledge
Special projects or other duties as assigned
