Communications/Community Relations: Media Manager
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a digital media or traditional media organization
  • Three years sales experience with pre-existing media agency and client relationships
  • Proactive, positive, and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills – you must be able to efficiently articulate a media program to current and prospective clients
  • Prior experience contributing concepts and brand integration ideas for custom content
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in branded content production a plus
  • Passionate about social media with a deep understanding of the ecosystem on Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage timelines
  • Ability to be organized and detail-oriented with professional presentation ability
  • Ability to deliver on a sales budget and is results oriented
  • Golf experience a plus; passion for golf is a must
  • Experience in Salesforce a plus

  • Attain yearly sales goals and communicating progress to goals and strategies/tactics to reach revenue targets with Management
  • Proactively identify and call on decision makers to build sales opportunities and pipeline
  • Call on decision makers in a consultative sales role and must be able to communicate the PGA TOUR/GOLF DIGEST/GolfWRX value proposition
  • Develop new endemic clients and manage current endemic clients with white-glove treatment (outside of the existing TOUR client roster)
  • Work directly with sales development teams to develop viable digital and social opportunities for endemic partners on PGA TOUR/GOLF DIGEST/GolfWRX platforms
  • Manage all phases of the sales pipeline and recognize opportunities to drive revenue
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships and maintain frequent contact
  • Set digital strategies for clients, considering their specific requirements
  • Address client queries effectively and in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records, including prospect list, sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation
  • Contribute to pre-sales ideation process including client brand integration opportunities
  • Assist in development of sales materials including, but not limited to: proposal decks, concept write-ups, RFP responses, and recap reports
  • Work with cross-functional teams including sales, editorial, analytics, digital content, PGA TOUR Entertainment, legal, finance, PGA TOUR Corporate Partnerships and Title Relations teams
  • Keep up with relevant golf and social media news, updates, tools, platforms, and best practices
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.
