The TOUR Influencer Manager will assist the Director, Brand Marketing and marketing team with the development of brand advocates, influencer campaigns, and marketing strategy at the national level. The TOUR Influencer Manager will coordinate with other agencies, leagues, artists, athletes, entertainers, etc. to identify strategic partnership opportunities. The TOUR Influencer Manager will also coordinate and create content in conjunction with Influencers that can be used on PGA TOUR social platforms to drive awareness and tune-in.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5-7 years of marketing, communications, digital, or content experience
  • Background in golf preferred; strong interest in golf required
  • Experience in developing relationships with external brand advocates
  • Experience working with influencers/celebrities in a marketing capacity
  • Influencer Marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of the social media space including content creation, best practices, success metrics and emerging platforms
  • Ability to develop long term content strategy tied to league and brand objectives
  • Budget management experience
  • YouTube Channel knowledge
  • Wide range of contacts with athletes, celebrities and social/digital influencer
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships to facilitate content development
  • Willingness to travel to multiple events throughout the year

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Work with the players, agents, managers, and PGA TOUR departments to identify key influencers and other marketing assets in various markets where championship management events are staged
  • Work with Brand Marketing leadership to identify key tournaments to develop influencer programs
  • Identify key content creators and influencers to support TOUR marketing and long term strategic objectives
  • Cultivate brand advocates and support high profile athletes, entertainers, etc. that have an interest in the game of golf and PGA TOUR
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand how partnering with influencers or content creators can help meet brand objectives
  • Identify strategic targets at the local level in concert with supervisor
  • Coordinate strategy behind social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.; stays current with emerging platforms and other social applications in order to maximize the exposure to our four fan segments
  • Create and execute micro/nano influencer strategy for key events throughout the season
  • Ensure PGA TOUR player social properties are opportunistic and in tune with the influencer marketing program
  • Capture photography and video as needed to influencer marketing effort and campaigns
  • Work with PGA TOUR social media staff to create conversation between the PGA TOUR (league channels and tournament channels), players, and influencers/celebrities on social media
  • Work with Senior Manager, PGA TOUR Publicity and Communications Storytelling team to coordinate outreach and efforts
  • Develop and encourage staff to pursue new tasks and challenges related to overall departmental goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to departmental operations, and internal communication.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
