Communications/Community Relations: Broadcast Production

The Manager Crewing position will schedule freelancers and vendors for a variety of projects with a focus on assigned live remote productions. This position will determine requirements for each job and facilitate as needed, and will oversee projects from beginning to end with all parties, managing all operational aspects of each project to guarantee they are managed appropriately. This position requires some overnight domestic travel; an estimated 10 percent of travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience.
  • Five years in the television production industry with experience in remote operations.
  • Three years of experience in remote television logistics planning.
  • Experience in project budgeting, crewing, logistics and scheduling for studio and remote productions.
  • Sports background preferred. Experience with operational requirements and logistics related to golf.
  • Must have knowledge of various technical positions (TD, EVS, Graphics, Camera, Audio, Video, etc.) for live remotes, commercial and ENG shoots.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Excel or equivalent Windows based software. Knowledge of SAP Concur software as well.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Responsible for and assist with identifying, contacting and booking freelancers for each assigned project or live remote production.
  • Help create and maintain a master personnel scheduling system for the successful production of any assigned project or live remote production.
  • Coordinate with Producers, Technical Managers and Production Managers to obtain necessary information for all live remotes.
  • Follow up with Producers, Technical Manager and Production Managers after each production for feedback.
  • Create individual show spreadsheets with personnel needed for department and accounting use.
  • Responsible for onboarding freelancers and maintaining database through FileMaker Pro software.
  • Contribute to departmental operations, including staffing, budget management / cost containment, and internal communication.
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.
