Serves as the content lead for Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR University while supporting PGA TOUR International feeder Tours content strategy and teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required. Journalism or Communications preferred
- Seven years’ experience in developing content for use social media and/or digital platforms and two years supervisory experience
- Experience in video production and content management with a digital publisher is required
- Strong knowledge of the social media environment including content creation, strategy, storytelling, trends and best practices
- Strong writing and copy-editing skills including grammar, style and spelling
- A highly organized, detail-oriented candidate preferred
- Strong presentation skills preferred
- Background in golf preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Work closely with Director of Social Content on strategy and vision of Pathway Tours social content. Implement and oversee workflow and staff to uphold strategy and vision
- Responsible for managing and scheduling Pathway Tours content staff members
- Responsible for overseeing content and freelance budgets related to Pathways
- Represent our Pathways content team to key stakeholders and leadership around the PGA TOUR to share high-level strategy, spotlight our successes and navigate headwinds
- Act as main contact for tournaments and titles along with Senior Manager of Tournaments, sharing our content plans and integrating their own priorities and initiatives into our work
- Act as main contact for PGA TOUR International feeder tours content staff, maintaining regular communication and supporting them as needed. Oversee integration of storylines into all platforms and levers consistently where appropriate
- Lead brainstorms around Pathways Storytelling & content on a regular basis
- Work with Field team to schedule and manage freelance videographers and content staff, ensuring adequate support for live coverage on-site and from Desk. Serve as primary point of contact for Pathways freelance staff
- Represent our content strategy with external partners and clients including titles, brands, tournament teams and players/agents
- Work with content leads across Original, Social, Branded, and Short Form Content to ensure Pathway Tours are integrated into all possible levers
- Travel as needed with some regularity to serve as lead producer and assist with content creation
- Adhere to PGA TOUR standards and established culture across platforms including personal channels
- Available during competition hours, which may include evenings and weekends
- Adapt to changing editorial conditions in a short time frame
- Special projects or other duties as assigned
