Digital Fan Experience and Tournament Support Coordinator - Digital

We presently have an opportunity for a Digital Fan Experience and Tournament Support Coordinator within our PGA TOUR Digital Department.The role will work closely with resources across multiple departments, including digital, tournament operations, and local tournament staff, to help execute digital platform initiatives focused on delivering enhanced fan experiences and elevating the overall digital presence of tournaments.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and sports, with an interest in how the two can intersect to create an optimal fan experience.
 
Qualified candidates will have the following:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a fast paced digital environment
  • Passion for technology and familiarity with all facets of the digital ecosystem
  • Proven communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to become proficient in proprietary web-based configuration and management platforms
  • Strong knowledge of golf is preferred
  • Sports background a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary liaison between digital department and tournament teams (HQ and local)
  • Help to educate tournament teams about digital capabilities and tools available for the purpose of enhancing fan experience and elevating overall digital presence of tournaments
  • Work with tournament teams and internal stakeholders to develop digital fan enhancement programs, including digital ticketing packages, mobile wallet integration, geo-targeted messaging plans, venue maps, app-based offers, and more
  • Execute and manage agreed upon digital tournament programs, including setting up ticket packages, establishing geo-fences, coordinating with onsite resources for beacon deployment, creating message campaigns, etc.; work with tournament teams to adjust and adapt, as needed 
  • Provide regular reporting on key performance metrics to both tournaments and internal stakeholders
  • Develop deep understanding of tools used to execute plans; make recommendations on ways to better leverage available functionality
