The PGA TOUR is looking for a Digital Content Producer Freelancer – International Content to work as part of our International Digital Content Team.
The Producer works closely with other members of the Digital and International Content Teams to plan and develop compelling stories for use across PGA TOUR social media platforms. As a digital storyteller, the Producer is responsible for building content that will generate audience interaction across platforms. Work schedule of 20h to 40h per week. Location: remote.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
- Experience in creating content for use on websites and social media platforms
- Experience in editing and/or content management role with a digital publisher
- Background in golf preferred; strong interest in golf required
- Proficiency in a foreign language is a bonus
- Strong writing and editing skills including grammar, style and spelling
- Strong understanding of the current digital and social media landscape, including creating content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and other platforms, best practices, success metrics and emerging platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of Long Form Storytelling
- Graphic Design/photo/video editing skills are required
- Proficiency in a foreign language is a bonus
- Self-starter with enthusiasm for innovative ideas and thinking outside the box
- Detail-oriented, excellent teamwork and multitasking skills are a must
- Commitment to high-quality work product that meet brand and fan standards
Responsibilities:
- Develop, edit and program content tailored to fans outside of the United States for use on the PGA TOUR’s relevant social and digital networks.
- Manage and coordinate with on-site content creators and office bases content creators to deliver compelling content across platforms.
- On-site tournament social media coverage assignments, including but not limited to photos, videos, live content, on-camera appearance, interviews, etc.
- Work with Content Team members to create unique packages as events develop.
- Adhere to brand standards and established voice across platforms.
- Work collaboratively with other content creators.
- Utilize available data to make or adjust programming decisions across platforms.
- Available to travel for content creation opportunities at key events throughout the season.
- Available during competition hours, which includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Adapt to changing editorial conditions in a short time frame.
