Internship: Internship
The Women’s Day Intern will work closely on the communication, planning, and execution of the Tournament’s special event, Women’s Day, an inspiring program filled with compelling speakers, leadership topics, personal and career development mixed with meaningful networking opportunities. 

The Farmers Insurance Open’s internship program is an extremely hands-on experience where students will have the opportunity to play a major role in the execution of San Diego’s PGA TOUR event held at Torrey Pines from January 20 – 26, 2020. 

The internship runs from November 1, 2019 to February 14, 2020. From October to December, preferred availability is 2-3 days a week for a weekly total of 6-10 hours. Hours may increase as the Tournament approaches.
Please note this position MUST work event days, Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22, 2020.
All internships are unpaid. College credit is available.
  • Assist with pre- and event day planning to ensure a top-quality event
  • Coordinate and develop run of show timeline 
  • Develop communication plan
  • Assist with collateral creation
  • Manage guest/participant registration and check-in process
  • Manage event volunteer staff
  • Interface with Century Club members, sponsors, event guests, and PGA TOUR representatives
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, but can also handle independent projects
  • Must be able to multi-task and be extremely detail-oriented
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Ability to carry 50 pounds
