Internship: Internship
The Hospitality Management Intern will work closely with the Director of Partner Relations & Business Integration on the fulfillment of all hospitality partnership agreements as they relate to ticketing, signage, catering, and on-course activations.
 
The Farmers Insurance Open’s internship program is an extremely hands-on experience where students will have the opportunity to play a major role in the execution of San Diego’s PGA TOUR event held at Torrey Pines from January 20 – 26, 2020. 
 
TIME COMMITMENT
The internship runs from November 1, 2019 to February 14, 2020. From October to December, preferred availability is 2-3 days a week for a weekly total of 6-10 hours. Hours may increase as the Tournament approaches.
 
Please note this position MUST work event days, Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22, 2020.
 
COMPENSATION
All internships are unpaid. College credit is available.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with hospitality partner communication pre, during, and post Tournament
  • Ensure all hospitality packages are sorted, fulfilled and shipped in a timely manner
  • Coordinate partner hospitality requests including catering orders and venue deliveries
  • Process additional ticket (SRO) orders from hospitality partners as they come in
  • Manage communication and implementation of the PGA TOUR’s Honorary Observer program
  • Interface with Century Club members, partners, vendors and PGA TOUR personnel
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, but can also handle independent projects
  • Must be able to multi-task and be extremely detail-oriented
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Ability to carry 50 pounds
