Oversee the PGA of America’s ticketing and credentialing program(s) and team, while executing events within the Championship Department, to include but not limited to Spectator Championships (PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship, Women’s PGA Championship, Ryder Cup). This position guides respective Championship site teams in the execution of best-in-class ticket sales operations and leads the organization of reporting metrics for data-backed decision-making for ticket sales revenue and operational costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

Lead Championships team members in the build and execution of all active championship ticket sales with the third-party ticket platform partner. This includes initial product and pricing development through the sales cycle and execution of each Championship event, ensuring all priorities are in alignment with PGA strategies and goals.

Support and develop onsite sales teams to drive and manage sales via creative and competitive product development, financial reporting, upgraded experiences, client events and sales strategies.

Manage the ticketing and credential vendors relationship for the PGA of America as it relates to programming from inception to execution of premium and concession, including scoping necessary development work to optimize Association initiatives.

Oversee operations of the credential system (Accredit) specific to each event to include: access control planning, database development, oversight of printing of credentials at HQ and on-site locations, fulfillment and distribution of credentials and credential equipment management.

Lead the development and execution of all event access control plans, including site walkthroughs,  creation of maps and permission specifications and access control scope documents to hardware and software suppliers.

Create and implement processes to optimize internal and external user interaction with all ticketing and credentialing activities for PGA of America spectator championships.

Oversee the reporting of up-to-date ticket sales revenue for all championships; including gathering feedback from Championship Directors and stakeholders to assist in the construction of custom dashboards, and finance team members with reconciliation needs.

Analyze and post-event scanning data to provide strategic enhancements and direction for future championships.

Collaborate with finance, tax and legal teams to define sales processes and customer handling for championship events.

Support the Director of  Championship Ticketing in the strategic development and execution of unique ticket sales methods for variable use cases; ie “lottery” or random selection, flash sales, group sales, and pre-registration; identifying gaps and building project scopes for internal and external team members. 

Maintain a robust knowledge of current and new product features in third-party ticketing and credentialing systems. Track and develop purchaser experience enhancements and propose development solutions as necessary and as costs allow.

Manage secondary ticket sales environment rules and specifications with SeatGeek.

Enable site teams and Championship Directors in the preparation of financial and attendance forecast reports, with access to historical data and knowledge of stakeholder mapping for each unique PGA spectator championship.

This is a supervisory position responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees within the department.  


Responsible for preparation and oversight of the Department budget and for monitoring results.  Assist with preparing, monitoring and administering an annual ticket sales and operations budget, while following all financial policies established by the PGA of America (i.e., purchase requisition, purchase orders, check requests, bid proposals, etc.). 


Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in sports marketing, business or hospitality management or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred. 

Five years in ticketing operations, access control, or event coordination experience, preferably in a live event environment.  Three years experience in managing the operations of a ticket office or equivalent.

Experience using business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar is required

Must be comfortable with using and training others on various hardware and software (including business intelligence tools).

Three years of team management experience.

Must excel at customer interaction with the general public and executive stakeholders, and working with financial and other data reports.

Golf knowledge is a plus.



Must have knowledge of box office operations, live events access control and gate operations and multi-year use of ticketing systems and credentialing software and hardware.. Must have a thorough knowledge of administrative principles and procedures with the ability to work on various projects and programs as assigned. Knowledge of organization functions of a business operation. Skills in planning and organizing.  Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail. Ability to build, source, maintain and expand internal/external relationships with vendors, partners, host sites, sponsors, corporate clients and staff while negotiating competitive rates on behalf of the Association.  Ability to effectively communicate with customers, staff, peers, and management of all levels.A demonstrated understanding of Google Workspace, along with Microsoft Office Suite and use of the internet.

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Ability to stand for extended periods (6+ hours per day).  Ability to work overtime, including weekends (sometimes up to 15 hours a day).
