This position is responsible for supporting, organizing, and executing all competitions associated with the League Golf department. This includes implementing strategies and programming of all League Golf products including but not limited to PGA Jr. League, PGA Family Cup, City Tour, National Collegiate Club Golf Association, Drive, Chip & Putt, and PGA Junior Golf Camps. Additionally, this position will lead program activations at Spectator Championships and Association meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

Manage and coordinate stakeholder resources and consumer experiences of all League Golf competitions, including:

  • Project management, timelines, punch lists, and status reports
  • On-site operations
  • Sponsor management and activation
  • Training plans, materials, and support
  • Communication plans
  • Section training, alignment, and integration
  • Internal and external partner liaison
  • Invoice/expense management

Specific responsibilities for PGA Jr. League include:

  • All-Star policy creation and implementation
  • Team rostering/verification processes
  • Rankings/regional leaderboard monitoring

Manage League Golf activations at spectator championships, including:

  • Vision and strategy
  • Coordination with internal and external partners/sponsors
  • SOE coordination and implementation
  • On-site execution
  • Post-event debriefs and analysis

Manage general operations of the League Golf department, including:

  • Finance invoices and purchase orders
  • Company activities including the PGA Merchandise Show and Annual Meeting
  • Team meetings
  • General project management assistance within each business line

Support the ongoing development and implementation of new programs and enhance current programs through:

  • Contributing to the overall strategic plans for the League Golf team.
  • Creating new and improved partnership alignment and opportunities.
  • Ensuring American Development Model alignment within each program.

Work closely with all PGA of America and event stakeholders to execute competitions.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Assist with the development of the annual budget for League Golf and processing all expenses related to league golf competitions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business, marketing, or related field preferred.

Four years of sports industry experience, including two years of program management experience.

PGA Member Preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: 

Knowledge of League Golf programs, PGA of America, and the Golf Industry. Must have the ability to make presentations, present information, and respond to questions representing the Association.  Ability to build effective relationships and possess a strong sense of team commitment.  Knowledge of Google Workspace.

Ability to travel up to 20%, which requires individuals to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to travel on PGA Business both Ground and Air.
