The Digital Media Analytics & Insights Specialist will provide actionable insights and key metrics reporting through analytical research and analysis that the PGA Digital team can act upon. Duties include analyzing digital media metrics in areas of all things digital that include web, social, measurable driven content efforts, and strategic partnerships. 

This role will be responsible for organizing an approach for regular reporting, insights, and provide a relatively immediate perspective on our performance for day-to-day decision making, key partner meetings, executive engagements, and more. 

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
  • Business Insights: Review our business models and apply data analytics methods to formulate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Data Analysis: Make data driven insights by systematically applying statistical and/or logical techniques to describe and illustrate, condense and recap, and evaluate data. 
  • Business Partnership: Provide insights where strategic partnership decisions are able to be made
  • Financial Modeling:  Create financial models that follow industry best practices.
  • Analytical Modeling: Formulate models for segmentation, sizing, prediction and forecasting.
  • Presenting Data and Insights: Make dashboards, visualizations and presentations to assist decision making in the company.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Assist with the development of the annual budget for PGA Digital.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Five years of experience in a consulting or analytics role, ideally in a media, advertising, or digital product organization. 
  • Consistent track record of using quantitative analysis to impact key business decisions. 
  • Three years experience in developing dashboards and visualizations for regular business reporting and point-in-time executive reports. 
  • One year or more of analytical modeling experience. 
  • Extensive experience with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Sprout Social, Google Data Studio, and more.  

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must have knowledge and understanding of sports media rights. Ability to navigate the complex world of media rights and create revenue opportunities through such. Ability to maintain and possess a network of contacts with sports leagues, associations, marketing agencies, brands, and competitors. Ability to present financial data concisely through written and oral communication. Must have knowledgeable and savvy (and present themselves as such) with all digital communication tools, such as Google Workspace, mobile devices, video conferencing, and more.
