Lead digital media revenue operations for PGA’s Digital business. This role will lead two sets of digital partnerships, 1) strategic b2b partners that drive value for PGA Members from PGA branded assets, and 2) marketing partners that primarily activate in media and content. 

This role will work across internal teams and external partners to deliver a budgeted revenue target each fiscal cycle. Create a rich portfolio of digital media opportunities and regularly represent those opportunities with internal teams, external partners, brands, clients and agencies. Hone the PGA’s internal processes and culture to create a regular flow of digital revenue opportunities throughout the year on PGA.com and for our Championship events.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

Sustain the current processes and create new processes that plan, collect, and deliver media value (revenue) for the PGA Digital business. Organizationally define how we work within our team and other departments as the revenue opportunities grow. 

Oversee execution of digital partner revenue by planning the operational integration into our coverage (content, product, ads, marketing) in partnership with the many internal teams that run our events and partnerships. 

Develop a reporting cadence that creates measurement continuity between media plan obligations and eventual delivery, then synthesize that reporting into client deliverables. 

Own the presentation of our business and media opportunities (i.e. a media kit) to both current and new partners (official and strategic), and occasionally lead and/or organize those meetings and presentations.

Assist in educating internal and external teams on the marketing value of the social media, product and content our department oversees. Become a cultural keystone for PGA Digital by continually educating and partnering with internal teams on best practices and processes that underpin digital partner operations. 

Account manage our strategic digital partnerships (ecommerce, licensing, and more) post deal-execution, those specifically that have revenue-sharing components, business integrations and marketing responsibilities. 

Forecast and evaluate platforms for revenue thresholds and growth. 

Have a keen competitive sense of what is happening in the digital golf market and other sports, and bring those learnings to shape our digital partner offering.

SUPERVISION:

This is a supervisory position responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees within the department.  

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Assist with the development of the annual budget for the PGA Interactive budget.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in marketing, business or media. Masters preferred. 

Eight years’ experience in digital media, with five years in internal sales and operations, including client-facing responsibilities. Agency or publisher experience a plus. Must have knowledge of sponsorships, forecasting, packaging,, direct sales, co-sales, and many other aspects of digital media sales. 

Established experience in maintaining a pipeline of clients, growing relationships and opportunities, and delivering successful brand engagements.  

Five years team management experience.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Must have knowledge and understanding of sports media rights. Ability to navigate the complex world of media rights and create revenue opportunities through such. Ability to maintain and possess a network of contacts with sports leagues, associations, marketing agencies, brands, and competitors. Knowledgeable and savvy (and present themselves as such) with all digital communication tools, such as G Suite (Gmail, G Doc, Sheets, Drive, Analytics), mobile devices, video conferencing, and more.
