Lead all aspects of digital media revenue operations for PGA Digital. Work across internal teams and external partners to deliver a budgeted revenue target each fiscal cycle. Create a rich portfolio of digital sales opportunities and regularly represent those opportunities with internal teams, external partners, brands, clients and agencies. Hone the PGA’s internal processes and culture to create a regular flow of digital revenue opportunities throughout the year on PGA.com and for our Championship events. Oversee a portion of revenue-generating partnerships and support plans to manage top-line growth. 


RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to): Service to PGA Professionals:


Lead digital media opportunities for the Association across and with departmental partnership teams.


Develop sales collateral for brands and agencies to assist in representing all of PGA’s digital media opportunities.


Participate, and occasionally lead, revenue-driving business development opportunities. Assist the product and platform team in negotiating industry partnerships and relationships.


Manage post-deal operations of revenue-driving partnerships, specifically maximizing revenue opportunities for the Association. 


Work with contractual digital spends to package and pitch across digital channels, continually offering incremental opportunities. 


Develop a pipeline of non-contractual digital partners, with a goal to unlock and grow partnerships over time. 


Act as the digital sales liaison with broadcast and digital media partners, and assist in leading the digital portions of PGA official partnerships and/or complex sales opportunities. 


Lead internal digital sales operations through existing personnel, contractors, and media partners for execution of deals. Develop a process and cadence for this team internally and with external media partners and agencies. 


Develop and sustain a process that continually provides revenue opportunities and discussions across PGA’s digital assets and teams.


Be the primary interface between the content and product teams and Partners. Create a cadence of how to operate from a pitch to execution to reporting. 


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in marketing, business or media. Masters preferred. 


Ten years’ experience in sports media, with six years in internal sales and operations, along with five years in a client-facing or outside digital sales role.  


Experience in forecasting, packaging, sponsorship, direct sales, co-sales, and many other aspects of digital media sales.


Established experience in maintaining a pipeline of clients, growing relationships and opportunities, and delivering successful brand engagements.  


Five years of team management experience.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Must have knowledge and understanding of sports media rights. Ability to navigate the complex world of media rights and create revenue opportunities through such. Ability to maintain and possess a network of contacts with sports leagues, associations, marketing agencies, brands, and competitors. Knowledgeable and savvy (and present themselves as such) with all digital communication tools, such as G Suite (Gmail, G Doc, Sheets, Drive, Analytics), mobile devices, video conferencing, and more.
