Overview: 
The Fan “Community Manager” will be responsible for developing the Washington Football Team’s ongoing fan community engagement efforts. Working hand-in-hand with the social media team and the public relations department, this role will foster strong bonds between the organization and its fans, creating new fans in the process. Success in this role will require an understanding of the organization’s key audiences, strong communication skills, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role will be highly visible within the organization and s/he will need to have a passion for teaching and mentorship.
                                                                                                           
Duties & Responsibilities:
  •  Mastering the Washington Football Team’s brand guidelines in order to stay on brand in all external communications with fans
  • Manage fan-focused social media campaigns for various platforms to align with marketing strategies
  • Help manage ancillary social media accounts (stadium, entertainment team, etc.)
  • Publish content that meets the brand’s communication style
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry and digital trends
  • Strategize, develop and build a community management brand guide that aligns with the overall brand guidelines 
  • Respond to customer inquiries and comments on social platforms in a timely manner
  • Monitor and provide feedback on engagement/conversation via social media channels to leadership
  • Become a recognizable name and face within the Washington Football Team fan community, both via social media activity and appearances at in-person fan events

Requirements:
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or related field 
  • 3-5 years of experience in the social media and community management fields
  • Familiarity with all social media platforms
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to think creatively and operate independently 
  • Must be a strong cross-functional leader and communicator
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and events as needed
