Title:  Youth Football Assistant (Part-time) 
FLSA Status:  Hourly, non-exempt 
Department:  Community Development 
Reports to:  Senior Marketing and Youth Football Manager

  • Completion of, or in pursuit of, a bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred. 
  • High school diploma required.
  • Previous youth football or youth program experience preferred. 
 Skills Required: 
  • General knowledge of the objectives and rules of the game of American football. 
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment. 
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications. 
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information. 
  • Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as on an individual basis as situation dictates. 
  • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications. 
Basic Function: Assist in the development, management, promotion and execution of programs that promote youth and flag football outreach and enhance the fan experience.   
Job Function (duties and responsibilities): 
  • Manage and execute all aspects of the NFL FLAG-In-Schools program, with duties to include, but not be limited to: 
    • Coordinate activities between event staff, other club departments and the NFL. 
    • Maintain elementary and middle school flag football database. 
    • Manage NFL FLAG-In-Schools and other youth football equipment and promotional items. 
  • Assist in implementing youth outreach marketing plans to increase the participation of flag football in the community. 
  • Provide support for other youth football events as needed. 
  • Assist with the maintenance of marketing vehicle and storage areas. 
  • Perform various other duties from time to time as assigned by the Senior Marketing and Youth Football Manager or other full-time Marketing department staff. 
  • Position will require for most duties to be performed in a telecommuting manner away from the Club offices at NRG Stadium/NRG Park, however, there will be times when routine face-to-face interaction with other Club personnel in the Club offices will be required. 
Travel Requirements: Local and occasional regional travel for events.
