Education:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of administrative work experience required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization and time management skills with ability to manage and prioritize multiple and diverse tasks for entire Tax group.

Basic Function:
Provide all aspects of administrative support to Tax department staff.

Job Function (duties and responsibilities):

Assist in the drafting and revising of various documents, including proofreading work for accuracy.
Distribute tax information to partners of numerous partnerships.
Submit check requests as needed for the various taxing authorities.
For numerous tax filings, prepare certified mailers using a certified mail software, affix the necessary postage using the office postage machine and deliver the items to the post office for stamped receipts.
Maintain a listing of the certified tax filings and dates filed along with check amounts, if any.
Work with other McNair Interests departments by providing requested documentation, coordinating meetings or conference calls, locating files, etc.
Open tax department mail daily.
Assist in providing office services as needed with other Executive Assistants such as sorting the daily mail for the office.
Maintain electronic and hard copy files which includes scanning tax documents into document management software.
Organize and submit expense reports of Tax department staff.
Obtain proper IRS documentation from charitable organizations for donations made from multiple McNair Interests entities.
Enter information into tax software and Excel for 200+ K-1 schedules.
File state annual reports for several entities.
Perform various other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by Tax department staff members.
Position requires routine face-to-face interaction with other McNair Interests personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in McNair Interests offices and not in a telecommuting manner.
