Event Management: Event Operations/Management
The Minnesota Vikings Football, LLC is currently searching for a qualified and dedicated Facility Services Assistant at our team headquarters and training facility – Twin Cities Orthopedic Performance Center in Eagan, MN. This is a full-time, nonexempt position. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking on many different tasks on a daily basis, including special event support, overseeing the custodial staff, responding to daily staff requests, and support for the Shipping and Receiving department, as well as any other duties assigned by the Facility Services Manager and Director of Facilities. We are looking for a candidate with some prior experience in event management and/or guest services, who is willing to take initiative and tackle a wide range of projects and tasks. The ideal candidate must also be able to communicate effectively with other staff members, visitors, and outside vendors that he/she might encounter in this position.  
  • Assist with setup, strike, general organization, and staffing for special events
  • Assist with Facility Management (FMX) software and provide technical support as needed
  • Update the company calendar including event details and daily team schedules
  • Evaluate, repair and maintain furniture, fixtures, and associated equipment in offices and common spaces throughout the facility
  • Oversee the general cleaning and upkeep of various areas throughout the building
  • Facilitate periodic cleaning services such as carpet cleaning, MRSA disinfection, window washing, floor polishing, grout cleaning and waxing
  • Oversee general building maintenance capital projects as assigned 
  • Maintain or oversee appropriate stock levels of cleaning products used by custodial staff 
  • Communicate with the facilities staff about any work that requires outside vendors
  • Receive and respond to staff requests around the facility
  • Work with and maintain tools, supplies, and chemicals necessary to complete projects 
  • Serve as the Vikings Facilities point of contact for events being held in TCO Stadium 
  • Help maintain OSHA safety compliance at all times
  • Work flexible hours based on the event schedule
  • Serve as support person for Shipping and Receiving department duties as-needed 
  • Work with the operations department and assist with football specific tasks as needed
  • Manage waste removal, shredding services and document retention as needed
  • Must have High School Diploma/GED
  • Two or more years of post-secondary education or training preferred 
  • Two or more years of facility management, event management, service industry, guest services or equivalent experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred; must be willing to obtain forklift certification in due time 
  • Willingness to obtain any additional licenses or certifications deemed necessary by the organization   
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as assigned 
  • Must take initiative and have the willingness to take on a wide range of projects and tasks
  • Must have reliable transportation
