Facility Operations/Event Staff: Event Guest Relations

The Director, Business & Operations for the Miami Dolphins Foundation will be based out of Miami Dolphins corporate headquarters and will be responsible for the planning, execution and budget of all foundation events including, Dolphins Cancer Challenge, golf tournaments, fishing tournament and ancillary events throughout the year.



DCC & MDF Programs & Events

  • Manage all aspects of DCC and MDF budget including forecasting expenses and revenues.
  • Ability to negotiate with various vendors, exploring trade opportunities, and obtaining favorable pricing on all goods and services provided.
  • Approve all invoices and expenses as delegate of the Executive Director.
  • Serve as liaison with appropriate logistical vendors, service providers and internal operational support.
  • Establish department processes and policies along with Executive Director and Director of Fundraising to ensure best practices and efficiencies are maintained for all programs and events.
  • Create and lead operational timeline in coordination with logistical consultant and foundation team to ensure efficient and effective operation annually.

DCC Weekend

  • Lead a team in the creation and approval of various ride/walk routes while maintaining updated reports on construction and route changes throughout the process (assure accurate time estimates, turn by turns and map graphics).
  • Work with traffic engineers to create/edit permit drawings to be submitted to Florida Department of Traffic on route approval and acquisition of the FDOT permit
  • Work with communications team and Operations Coordinator to acquire letters of approval from city officials, necessary for acquiring an FDOT permit.
  • Create and implement a plan for all signage needed for event day including route signage
  • Lead a team on the creation of a police staffing plan, route staffing plan, SAG plan, location specific staffing plans, location specific volunteer needs, security, parking and concert staffing plan if applicable.
  • Oversee all water stop activities: sites choices, layouts, timelines, permitting, supplies, distribution, and staffing.
  • Lead a team in planning all aspects of starts/finishes: Including but not limited to A/V and staging, tents, food and beverage, permitting, site contacts, housekeeping, security, trash removal, and parking.
  • Work with logistical consultant and vendors on all timelines, materials, load in and negotiate prices and/or trade opportunities to cut down on expenses.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and incentivizing ride marshals to help promote safety, communication and any necessary mechanical and medical assistance throughout DCC.
  • Manage along with logistics consultant, coordination of large-scale production meetings, police meetings, and staff meetings to train all individuals on weekend tasks as well as the creation and dissemination of weekend production notes, rider handbook and any essential materials.
  • Lead and supervise all transportation logistics of participants, volunteers and equipment to and from start and finish locations. Effectively communicate transportation plan to participants, volunteers and vendors ensuring smooth operation.
  • Oversee recruitment and training of volunteers, work with Dolphins Special Teams program on communication plan to all volunteers.
  • Work with Dolphins legal team to assure proper communications/incident reporting in the case of an emergency throughout weekend and properly train all parties on how to handle. First contact in case of emergency throughout weekend-properly track rider, notify riders family and follow up on any hospital/insurance needs-work with legal team throughout weekend on any necessary rider transports.
  • Create and oversee DCC command center, staff and set up in order to properly track any incoming calls and disperse the appropriate mode of help.
  • Planning and production of all finish line celebration elements: talent contract/riders, hospitality, A/V, staging, tents, catering, food and beverage, kid’s zone, security & credentials, parking, staffing, layout, signage, Heavy Hitter area, massage, bike parking, showers, seating.
  • Coordinate with sponsorship team and logistics consultant to assure that all sponsor activations/fulfillment are carried out effectively throughout the weekend and all contracts are met (i.e. video board logos, signage, vendor village).

DCC Ancillary Events

  • Oversee operations lead of all DCC ancillary events including Heavy Hitter dinner, Friday night kickoff, training rides, and annual golf tournament: including but not limited to; set up, timeline, staffing, program, A/V, food and beverage, parking, registration, security, talent and any other events specific needs as it relates to each individual event).
  • Oversee operations lead for DCC golf tournament assuring the successful planning and execution of all golf activities including but not limited to budgeting, entertainment, activations, pre/post experience.

Miami Dolphins Foundation Program Events

  • Assist and supervise planning of all foundation events including but not limited to golf tournaments, fishing tournament and ancillary events.
  • Oversee all event activities in coordination with Dolphins operations and event production teams: including but not limited to sites choices, layouts, timelines, permitting, supplies, hospitality, staffing, A/V and staging, tents, food and beverage, permitting, site contacts, housekeeping, security, trash removal, parking, VIP areas and credentialing.
  • Oversee gameday fundraising program financials/treasury and provide operational support when needed.
  • Assist Program Managers/Coordinators as needed in operational aspects of the Nat Moore Endowment Fund event operations as well as all fan-fundraising initiatives.


  • Education: bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 6 or more years of professional sports and/or events experience
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to interact with departments across the Miami Dolphins organization. 
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
