Human Resources: Human Resources Generalist
The Indianapolis Colts Human Resources team has an incredible opportunity for a talented Human Resources Generalist with the experience, drive and energy to truly make a difference for our business and mission.  
The Colts HR Generalist position is a technical human resources role with primary focus on maintaining, developing and upgrading the organization’s HRIS/HCM system to ensure a high-level of HR systems service and support.  This position will serve as the main point of contact responsible for resolving all HRIS/HCM system-related issues with exceptional customer service, and for advancing the HR department’s strategic priorities with expert systems knowledge. 
Additionally, this position will assist with the administration of the Colts’ comprehensive benefits package and provide administrative support for the Senior Director of Human Resources.  
Senior Director of Human Resources 
  • Supports the HR department’s strategic priorities and objectives in the use of existing and new Ceridian Dayforce HCM (HRIS) features. 
  • Maintains HRIS integrity by evaluating and identifying production system issues due to missing, inaccurate or incomplete data. 
  • Proactively manages HRIS production system performance and resolves related technical issues. 
  • Provides HRIS support and training for administrative and end users, to include the creation of instructional documentation in a variety of media. 
  • Actively participates in HRIS training and support sites, researching and networking for optimal solutions and best practices. 
  • Addresses questions and troubleshoots HRIS problems reported by internal stakeholders effectively and timely. 
  • Collaborates across other departments such as Payroll and Finance to ensure alignment and integration of HR’s operational processes. 
  • Protects the confidentiality of employee and organization data by strictly adhering to established security and confidentiality requirements. 
  • Creates ad-hoc reports as requested by various internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Provides tier-one administrative support for the Colts’ comprehensive benefits package. 
  • Works on special projects as needed and assigned by the Sr. Director of Human Resources.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or informatics from an accredited university.
  • Minimum three years of hands-on experience with management, design and optimization of an HRIS or HCMS experience is required. HR systems implementation experience a plus. 
  • Solid understanding in the key HR areas of benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, training, development and performance management is required. Comprehensive knowledge of benefits is preferred. 
  • Clear and courteous communicator – verbal and written – with exceptional interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong team orientation and desire to advance the HR department’s collective goals and objectives. 
  • Intrinsically motivated to learn independently and continuously produce high-quality deliverables. 
  • Calm and resilient disposition in an ambiguous, changing environment with the ability to shift and adapt quickly. 
  • Tenacious problem-solver; committed to providing exceptional service with timely follow up and follow through. 
  • Organized and results-driven with an analytical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive situations with tact and strictly uphold employee and organization confidentiality. 
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) a plus.
