Senior Director of Business Development

Job Summary:
The Director of Business Development at the Hall of Fame Village, a subsidiary of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW) is responsible for and oversees the outbound sales effort including group sales, packaging and bundling of experiences within all areas of the Hall of Fame Village. 
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
-        Oversees outbound sales efforts for group sales, bundling and packaging, tours, ticket sales, private events, Expos, conferences, etc.
-        Develops sales cadences and quotas.
-        Recruits, hires, and trains other sales team members.
-        Develops and implements an outbound sales strategy for the team.
-        Adheres to and assists in developing budgets and strategies to meet those budgets and goals. 
-        Uses phone, email, social media, and in-person meetings to solicit new and renewed business for the Hall of Fame Village.

-        Identifies new market segments and proactively assesses business opportunities.
-        Build rapport with local, regional, and national event industry contacts, governing bodies, and relevant organizations.
-        Work closely with all other key HOFREco divisions including sports complex, private event sales, ticket sales, and hotel sales teams to ensure maximization of event revenue.
-        Assist other event directors with their efforts to maximize attendance, engage guests, and attract business sponsors as needed.
-        Develop client relationships to ensure long-term patronage.
-        Develop and manage a seamless execution process with the support of relevant internal departments.
-        Provide superior customer service to clients and prospects.
-        Respond in a timely manner to calls, inquiries and emails.
-        Maintain comprehensive records and accounting.
-        Attend networking or other events as needed.
-        Accurately and diligently maintain records and track customers and prospects through CRM.
-        All other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:
-        Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; preferably in a sales-related field. 
-        Minimum of 5 years’ of sales and business development experience.
-        Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
-        An ongoing innovative approach to improve product offerings and sales process. 
-        Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
-        Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary) is required.
-        Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization.
-        Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance, working quickly without compromising quality.  
-        Strong team skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment; must possess a strong ability for effective time management and task prioritization.
-        Experience with strategic / complex opportunities. 
-        Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and events.
-        Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure.
-        Able to balance internal priorities with client expectations and needs.
-        Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters while maintaining confidentiality. 
-        Proven ability in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements for Position: 
-        The ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly. 
-        The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside.
-        The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones. 
-        The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations. 
-        The ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.
-        Must be able to hear, see, and speak.
