The Senior Manager, Corporate Development will play an integral role in supporting and advancing USA Football’s development and growth, including current corporate partner relationships and outreach, as well as exploration of new partnership and other value-creating opportunities. The right candidate is a high-energy team player with a passion for football and USA Football’s mission and vision, equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to dig into the details of a contract for fulfillment purposes, while also speaking with and presenting to senior leadership about new opportunities and strategies the company may explore.
Essential Functions and Necessary

  • Oversee fulfillment and activation for all sponsorship/partnership accounts, and serve as the main point of contact internally and externally for all assigned sponsorship/partnership accounts;
  • Independently research and identify the landscape of potential value-creating opportunities facing USA Football, create corresponding proposals and presentations, and assist with modeling and analysis of all opportunities;
  • Provide support to and help grow USA Football’s philanthropic function, including with fundraising and third-party foundation opportunities;
  • Lead the automation of the fulfillment and activation process by ensuring efficient information flow throughout the company, including through ownership and maintenance of USA Football’s contract management system;
  • Work proactively across all USA Football departments to build out partner programs and activations, leading to periodic and annual reports to track success and for use in reviews with partners;
  • Assist in the planning and management of departmental budgets;
  • Continually exhibit excellent organizational skills; coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects while shifting gears efficiently and effectively;
  • Continually demonstrate the ability to work independently while at the same time proactively being able to contribute successfully to  cross-functional teams; and
  • Be open-minded, creative, flexible, and adaptable—this is of critical importance to success in this role.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with impeccable credentials, with a focus on accounting, economics, finance, business administration, and/or complementary field(s) a plus;
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a relevant role or roles, preferably within the sports, entertainment, technology, and/or media space;
  • Demonstrated experience within the sports sponsorship/partnership field, with particular experience in sponsorship/partnership identification, evaluation, negotiation, fulfillment, and activation; 
  • Knowledge of the current sports sponsorship/partnership and revenue landscape, coupled with an educated vision of and interest in how that landscape may evolve;
  • Ability and comfort to efficiently review, summarize, and implement contractual language and obligations;
  • Demonstrated research and presentation capabilities that have led to successful results;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint; and
  • A passion for the growth of the sport of football throughout the United States and internationally.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position may have supervisory responsibilities for interns and/or others.
Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a remote work environment primarily on Eastern time zone hours.
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, manual dexterity, and sometimes lift up to 100 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.  This position requires standard work hours and some weekend work.
Occasional travel is expected for this position.
