Senior Coordinator, Grant Department - USA Football (Indianapolis, IN – Remote Position)

 Position Description
The Senior Coordinator of the Grant Division serves the foundation/grants/corporate partnerships department and is responsible for activating sponsorship programs (grants), managing marketing campaigns (digital media, social media, etc.) as part of grant and sponsorship activations and servicing partners, applicants, and awardees. This position will support the grant program and other key programs as assigned. The position will assist in awarding over $2 million+ worth of equipment, goods and services to deserving youth leagues and school-based football programs annually.

 Skills Needed:

  • Demonstrated teamwork and work-ethic
  • Prior sales or customer service experience a plus
  • Database management
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data & financial data; analyze, prepare and present reports, statement and future projections
  •  Ensure data integrity

Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Assist the grants team with day-to-day grant partner activation deliverables as it relates to specific programs and/or campaigns
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings and ensure clear communication across all grant stakeholders
  • Receive grant applications, assist with scoring, audit applications, and ensure grant documentation is complete
  • Follow up with grant applicants as necessary via phone and e-mail, manage the grants inbox, coordinate all campaign content with partners and with internal stakeholders
  • Research potential applicants in internal database (Salesforce) and assist the consulting team in targeted outreach to eligible organizations
  • Manage regular reporting, data sharing, invoice processing and communications between USA Football and grant partners
  • Assist in researching potential grants USA Football may have an opportunity to apply for
  • Assist in the creation of research, pitches and presentations to grant partners
  • Coordinate planning and preparation of grant proposals, including compilation of all necessary data, reports, summaries, formatting and creative components
  • Assist in development of grant reports for internal departments and external partners
  • Assist in development of grant funding policies, awarding procedures, eligibility requirements and disseminate information internally and externally
  • Maintain accurate SOP’s for each grant type and grant partner
  • Partner with the project management team to ensure that all Wrike tickets are updated, stay with in scope and on time for delivery
  • Oversee grant database, maintain grant software and work with internal departments to share data and integrate with the commissioner dashboard through API or manual processes

  • Familiarity with grant programs, football, youth sports or coaching is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-4 years’ experience with a non-profit or sports organization
  • Experience in Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Excel and Wrike are a plus
Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, and manual dexterity. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time remote position. This position requires standard work hours and some weekend work.
