Summary/ Objective
USA Football is looking for a driven, skilled individual to contribute to our Social Media team. The Social Media intern will have the opportunity to learn new skills and make a big contribution to a number of exciting products and brands on USA Football social media channels. This intern will help oversee the overall USA Football and U.S. National Football Team social accounts.

 Essential Functions

  • Identify potential news story ideas relevant to USA Football programs and initiatives
  • Assist in posting content on USA Football social media channels
  • Execute paid/sponsored social media campaigns across multiple social media platforms
  • Create or update content such as graphics and video as necessary
  • Assist in creating strategic communication plans for social media campaigns
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. 
  • Experience with social media management tools and analytics
  • Experience with creating engaging graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud programs such as Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, and Illustrator
  • Strong background knowledge in football
  • Able to balance short- and long-term projects as well as meet project deadlines
  • Self-starter – ability to deliver with little direction
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience creating high-engaging content for a variety of platforms and audiences
  • High proficiency in managing Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts
  • Experience with Mac operating system
  • Ability to shoot and edit photographs using Adobe Lightroom
  • Experience with Sprout Social analytics

Education and Experience: 
Recent bachelor’s degree (last 6 months) in or studying communication, marketing, graphic design, visual communication design, or related field of study

Supervisory Responsibility

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  

Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, manual dexterity and ability to lift on occasion up to 100 pounds. 

Position Type/Expected Date/Hours of Work
This is a full-time internship position with a paid stipend of $775 a month. 
Spring Semester 2020 and requires standard work hours.
