USA Football is seeking a highly motivated person who will serve as a summer intern for the Membership team. The position will work with the team to help resolve member issues in a timely manner. The Service and Experience interns are responsible for ensuring a positive experience, active communication with customers, and quality service for youth football organizations, high schools, and individual customers using USA Football’s resources. 

Summary/ Objective
To assist Regional Coordinators and Managers with coach communication. To be able to independently answer questions that we receive from the football marketplace. Proactively reach out to organizations to get new FDM enrollments.

 Essential Functions

  • Consult with member and prospective- member organizations and coaches through a proactive and reactive communications regarding membership, term, usage, and issue resolution
  • Assist new organizations with Football Development Model activation
  • Maintain internal CRM database
  • Interpret member feedback and work with USA Football’s digital team to improve current      resources and user experience
  • Be able to have a flexible work schedule to work possible shifts of 12pm-8pm
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills- prior customer service skills a plus
  • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem- solving abilities are necessary
  • Organizational skills including ability to handle a high volume of detail- oriented work
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel required
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Demonstrate teamwork and work ethic
Education and Experience
Recent graduate (within past 6 months) or a current college student. Desired degree is Sport Administration/Management, or a related field. Must be able to work until the entire internship ( May 11, 2020 through September 11, 2020)

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, manual dexterity and ability to lift on occasion up to 100 pounds. 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position requires standard work hours (9-5pm) with the occasional late hours (12-8pm).

  • Internship begins May 11, 2020 and ends September 11, 2020
  • Internship is full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Interns receive a $775 monthly stipend plus parking allowance
  • Reports to Regional Sales Coordinator
  • Position will be located at USA Football’s headquarters based in Indianapolis, IN
  • Must secure housing and transportation in Indianapolis 
  • USA Football supports interns seeking academic credit
  • Interns must identify learning goals and work with supervisor to achieve goals 
  • Examine the organization and its industry/environment 
  • Analyze and interpret functions and responsibilities 
  • Observe professionals in various roles and participate with them where appropriate
