Internship: Internship
Title: Grants Intern
Intern Session: Spring (Jan.–May)

Job Function:
The Grants Intern is responsible for activating sponsorship programs (grants), managing marketing campaigns (digital media, social media, etc.) as part of sponsorship activations and servicing clients. This internship will support the grants program as well as sponsor activations during the fall internship cohort. Previous internships assisted on awarding over $2 million worth of equipment to deserving youth leagues and school-based football programs annually.

 Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the grants team with day-to-day grant partner activation deliverables as it relates to specific programs and/or campaigns
  • Receive grant applications, assist with scoring, audit applications, and ensure documentation is complete
  • Follow up with grant applicants as necessary via phone and email
  • Coordinate grant awards with our partners, including Riddell, Profound, BSN Sports, and more
  • Research potential applicants in internal database and assist in outreach
  • Assist in researching potential grants USA Football may have an opportunity to apply for
  • Assist in the creation of pitches, presentation and grant content for e-mail campaigns, social media, partners and staff
  • Assist in development of grant reports
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements/Recommended Competencies:
  • Organizational skills including ability to handle a high volume of detail-oriented work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and work ethic
  • Prior sales or customer service experience a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, experience with non-profit programs including grant making
  • Familiarity with football, youth sports or coaching

Must be currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university, recently graduated from an accredited college or university, or currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school. Sports Management or related field of study preferred.
