Summary/ Objective: USA Football is seeking a highly motivated person who will serve as a summer intern for Football Operations and First Down. The position will assist with coordinating logistics, customer service and program resources for youth clinics across the country, hosted not just by USA Football, but also youth leagues and other community partners.

 Essential Functions

  • Assist with coordinating approximately 300 youth football non-contact clinics across the country
  • Serve as the main point of contact for community organizations to service needs, explain the program goals and answer any questions 
  • Event logistical planning for equipment, materials, and event resources
  • Coordinate content posted on First Down administrative website and the registration system
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and digital departments at USA Football to execute program goals
  • Serving on-site for football operations events and clinics as needed including but not limited to set up, tear down, on-site registration and general operations

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – prior customer service or sales experience a plus
  • Experience in football or event operations, especially advance planning and pre-event logistics, is a plus
  • Organizational skills including ability to handle a high volume of detail-oriented work
  • Demonstrated teamwork and work ethic
  • Self-starter and independent worker
  • Ability to see projects start to finish

Education and Experience:
Recent graduate (within past 6 months) or current college student with availability to work standard work days/hours and some weekends as needed

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, manual dexterity and ability to lift on occasion up to 100 pounds. 
Position Type/Date/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time internship position with a paid stipend of $775 a month. 
Spring Semester 2020 and requires standard work hours.
