Summary/ Objective
USA Football’s Football Development Team is looking for a talented intern who can assist in implementing and expanding initiatives for the USA Football organization.  These initiatives include, but are not limited to, the Football Development Model, the Rookie Tackle program, as well as new coach certification models. 
 
 Essential Functions

  • Assist in the creation and review of resources related to the Football Development Mode
  • Attend team meetings and other staff meetings as assigned summarize notes and provide feedback
  • Assist in the review and production of specific game-type materials and other associated resources
  • Attend and assist with events hosted or conducted by the FBD team 
  • Gather and summarize research that support USA Football programming and training materials
  • Work with Football Development team to maintain schedules for course shoots and marketing updates
  • Assist in preparations for the USA Football National Conference with duties including, but not limited to, program scheduling, speaker contracts, marketing assistance, live field needs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
Recent college graduate (within past 6 months) or current student pursuing a degree in sports management, health and human performance or a related area. 


Supervisory Responsibility
None

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  

Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, manual dexterity and ability to lift on occasion up to 100 pounds.

Notes:
  • Internship begins May 11, 2020 and ends August 7, 2020
  • Internship is full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Interns receive a $775 monthly stipend plus parking allowance
  • Reports to Director, Coaching
  • Position will be located at USA Football’s headquarters based in Indianapolis, IN
  • Must secure housing and transportation in Indianapolis 
  • USA Football supports interns seeking academic credit
  • Interns must identify learning goals and work with supervisor to achieve goals 
  • Examine the organization and its industry/environment 
  • Analyze and interpret functions and responsibilities 
  • Observe professionals in various roles and participate with them where appropriate 
  • Apply academic learning to practical and professional work experiences 
  • Learn how to perform specific tasks
