Title: Intern, Events
Intern Session:
Spring (Jan.–May)

Job Function:
The USA Football Events team seeks to hire a dedicated individual who will assist with planning and execution of USA Football’s portfolio of events including: grassroots events, regional, national and international events, plus conferences and clinics.  

 Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist Events Team with operational and logistical planning for events including, High Performance Camps, Middle School Training Camp, Flag National Team events, Blitz Tour and other events as assigned
  • Assist with on-site execution of various USA Football Events as needed
  • Manage event elements such as event registration, hotel operations, catering F&B, equipment ordering, asset movement, inventory, organization of storage unit, and event teardown/setup.
  • Work directly with vendors, suppliers, facilities, hotels, and catering partners.
  • Recruit operations staff, volunteers, and athletic trainers to work all of USA Football events.
  • Work in collaboration with various USA Football Departments which supports events including Marketing, Communications, Legal, and Finance
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements/Recommended Competencies:
  • Experience with a sports team, athletic department or event operations is preferred 
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Detail-oriented and organized; ability to multi-task and solve problems (including hands-on problems)
  • Quality writing and communication skills
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and work ethic

Education:
Must be currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university, recently graduated from an accredited college or university, or currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school. Sports Management or related field of study preferred.
