The Coordinator, Events is responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of assigned events in USA Football’s portfolio including: grassroots events, regional, national and international events, plus conferences and clinics.  

Essential Functions

  • Manage operational and logistical planning for events including, U.S. National  Team events,           Flag events, Blitz Tour and other events as assigned
  • Manage event elements such as event registration set up, hotel operations, catering F&B,                equipment ordering, asset movement, inventory, organization of storage unit, and event                 teardown/setup
  • Work directly with suppliers, facilities, hotels, and catering vendors and partners
  • Recruit, hire and manage operations staff, volunteers, and athletic trainers to work all of USA        Football events
  • Attend USA Football events to oversee logistical needs
  • Resolve problems before, during and after events
  • Assist the Assistant Manager, Events with developing and meeting assigned metrics and                  measures for each event, including reconciling event expenses and budgets
  • Work with the events team to follow best practices that continually improve the quality of USA      Football events
  • Work in collaboration with various USA Football Departments which supports events including      Marketing, Communications, Legal, and Finance.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with a sports team, athletic department or event operations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office experience (including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Manage different types of personalities
  • Detail-oriented and organized; ability to multi-task and solve problems (including hands-on            problems)
  • Quality writing and communication skills
  • Organizational and project management skill
  • Demonstrated teamwork and work ethic.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has occasional supervisory responsibilities for interns and on-site event operations staff. 

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meetings.    

Physical Demands
Requires the ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand/walk for long periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, remote position. This position requires standard work hours from 9am – 5pm ET and regular weekend work. 

Extensive travel is expected for this position.
