The Director of Brand, Creative & Promotions will manage the day-to-day marketing efforts for the Tennessee Titans with an emphasis on developing marketing strategies, multimedia advertising campaigns, along with other consumer communications and promotional activities. In doing so, the successful candidate will manage complex, integrated marketing programs from inception through execution and reporting. He/She will develop relationships with internal departments (including but not limited to Social Media, Digital Operations, Content & Production, Ticket Sales/Sponsorship & Others) to execute key initiatives that drive the Titans’ business forward. In conjunction with management duties, this role requires a creative mind that can also assist in the innovation and design process for campaigns, consumer promotions and other fan touchpoints.

In addition to marketing-specific responsibilities, this position will be tasked with leading/inspiring junior marketing staff and design team members while fostering a creative environment that values innovation as well as business results. This means ensuring that all deliverables are consistent with the team brand strategic business plans.

 Finally, this person must have a keen understanding of relevant KPIs and ROI frameworks and be capable of providing reports and insight to leadership of the Marketing Department along with the broader Tennessee Titans executive team. 

 Responsibilities:
Brand, Creative & Design
  • Develop distinctive and breakthrough creative marketing concepts that enhance and amplify the Titans’ brand among target markets
  • Manage the development of integrated, multimedia advertising campaigns promoting various Titans business/marketing initiatives (ticket sales, special events, schedule release, etc.) 
  • Oversee the in-house development of creative assets to ensure a consistent, connected, brand voice and guidelines
  • Develop copy for various marketing materials & collateral including video spots, digital/print advertisement and social media posts
  • Partner with Content and Production Team to develop creative, compelling video concepts
  • Ensure Partnerships and Ticketing teams are equipped with best-in-class marketing collateral and presentation materials
 
Marketing & Promotion
  • Create promotional strategies that drive fan affinity and engagement across key demographics (Millennials, GenZ, etc)
  • Devise and manage a calendar of new and recurring content campaigns including specific initiative-based campaigns around tentpole events
  • Develop strategic marketing partnerships with relevant entities (venues, media partners, CVB, etc.)  throughout Nashville and Middle Tennessee region
  • Partner with League personnel and outside vendors to generate research and insights with respect to fan attitudes towards the Titans brand, products and events

Management & Collaboration
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values a commitment to quality
  • Track market, competitor, and demographic trends and proactively socialize information and associated recommendations for action throughout organization. 
  • Assist executives and/or other senior leaders in defining organizational goals and strategic plans
  • Collaborate with key internal teams including Social/Digital, Communications, Design and Community Relations, Sales to drive key campaigns
  • Oversee reporting and executive communication to showcase team success, needs and news
  • Articulate KPIs, budget needs and any request for resources data, outside marketing agencies, etc.)

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or business experience equivalent  
  • 6 - 8 years of experience 
  • Exposure to creating marketing/advertising campaigns from developing vision and the message platform to overseeing production on time and budget.
  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives.
  • Understanding and experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, but also understand offline and print.
  • Strong familiarity with primary social (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and secondary, emerging social networks 
  • Extensive knowledge of all new technology trends and active follower of new technology trends to apply to digital strategy where appropriate  
  • Excellent editing, organization and communication skills  
  • Organized, creative, customer-focused 
  • Attention to detail, strong proof-reading skills and takes initiative 
  • Teamwork and communication skills a must 
  • Knowledge of sports generally and the NFL specifically is a plus
