Digital Media Video Intern

The Digital Media Video Production Intern will observe and assist the Seattle Seahawks digital media team with the daily management and production of the organization’s online video content.  This position will also assist in management of the organization’s other digital content plan when needed.  
By the end of the internship, the intern will have received first-hand experience in digital media video production, content production for digital media platforms, and videography in a collaborative team and departmental environment.
The intern will be expected to learn and take feedback heavily throughout experience and extensive resources will be available to facilitate the edification process at the intern’s initiative.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • This internship's workload will be divided as follows: 80% video production, 15% non-video content management, 5% other digital media 
  • Act as web videographer for press conferences and press events
  • Produce, shoot and edit online video packages
  • Setup and teardown of live webcasts
  • Management of assigned site features
  • Produce assigned site content features (written, photo, video)
  • Facilitate quality assurance of site features
  • Interview and host video packages when needed
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on digital media projects
  • Work with internal departments (Public Relations, Community Outreach, Fan Development and Marketing) in fulfilling digital media needs as requested
  • Expected to work both home and away games including weekends and evenings
Required Skills:
  • Fluent understanding of the video production process
  • Above average fluency with Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
  • Formal training in videography and storytelling
  • Basic understanding of web design/development
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Dreamweaver)
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Must excel in a working team environment
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays during the NFL season
Time Frame: 
Most of our intern placements will last the duration of the NFL season (approx. late June or early July – February). We will, however, have a few positions that are available for summer only (approx. mid July – late August).

Applicant must:
  • Be currently enrolled as a junior, senior, or recent graduate (within 6 months) from a four year college or university. Grad school students are eligible to apply as well. 
  • Have authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Have a current driver’s license
  • Be able to work 30 hours per week as well as game day/nights, weekends and other various events

Selection Process:
Selected applicants will be contacted via phone with the final applicants being invited for in person interviews.  All final round interviews will take place at our team headquarters in Renton or at our stadium in Seattle and must be done in person. Further, we will not pay for any interview related expenses such as travel or lodging; these expenses are the sole responsibility of the applicant.
