Facility Operations/Event Staff: Maintenance
PSSI Stadium LLC is looking to fill a key position in our facilities department in the role of Facility Operations Manager.  This position will report to the Director of Facility Operations and assist in managing the Facilities Team and activities at Heinz Field.


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct, manage, develop and communicate departmental procedures for maintenance department.
  •  Serve as primary point of contact, provide leadership, and develop daily work plan for facility maintenance staff which includes plumbers, electricians, carpenters, steamfitters, and laborers
  • Serve as primary point of contact with Aramark Concessions and ISS (Contracted Housekeeping).  Meet with reps on a regular basis, perform facility walk throughs and inspections to confirm vendors are meeting and exceeding defined expectations
  • Walk building on a routine basis to confirm work orders are complete and to identify maintenance items that need to be addressed
  • Under the direction of the Director of Facility Operations work directly with contracted vendors to manage repairs, and coordinate yearly inspections  
  •  Coordinate with local and national TV networks and production entities for all events
  • Assist in maintaining up to date records for all state, federal, and insurance semi-annual and annual inspections
  • Develop and maintain written plans for event set up, change over, preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Involved in the selection, training, evaluation, monitoring and scheduling of maintenance team members
  • Utilize the ABI system to manage payroll and vacation record keeping for full time and part-time staff
  •  Coordinate facility set up and change over for University of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Steeler football games, and major special events and concerts
  •  Work with staff to facilitate a team-work approach to insure the successful hosting of events
  •  Process paperwork required for daily operations of department to include approving invoices, setting up PO’s, getting quotes, etc.
  • Approve specifications for procurement of supplies, equipment and services related to facilities/maintenance department
  • Maintain safety standards for team members by developing and communicating procedures to conform to federal, state and insurance regulations
  • Respond to after-hours calls as needed


STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:
  • Demonstrates effective leadership skills and prior management experience
  • Knowledge in determining and coordinating logistical needs to support large public events, preferably in a large sports arena or event facility
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to multi task and delegate
  • Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move a minimum of 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds
  • Must be able to regularly sit, stand, climb, balance, stoop, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to manipulate tools and equipment and repetitively reach with hands and arms
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays
 
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Four year degree in related filed
  • Three to five years of management experience in building and grounds maintenance, construction, management facility operations
  • Demonstrate working knowledge in repairs and maintenance
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge of business codes and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  Preferred qualifications include prior experience with CMMS software
  • Proficient in computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
