Marketing: Database Marketing/Analytics
Reporting to the Director of Business Analytics, the Database Marketing Analyst will be responsible for optimizing, maintaining and driving value from the team’s fan data warehouse. This includes defining and implementing data collection best practices, managing connections to the team’s central data warehouse and researching new software and data flow enhancements. The position will also be responsible for defining marketing audiences and segments, analyzing data and providing both reporting and recommendations.

  • Manage new and current data warehouse connections
  • Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance
  • Translate business requirements to data products and pipelines
  • Utilize tools such as SQL and Tableau to query and drive both reporting and analysis
  • Combine data from multiple sources to create a complete fan picture
  • Perform audience building and fan segmentation to support business needs 
  • Create a plan to convert fans from unknown to known fans
  • Build dashboards that clearly communicate make-up and engagement of fans in data warehouse and changes over time 
  • Ensure cleanliness of data
  • Partner with IT department to ensure compliance with privacy policies and process requests for information (CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
  • Understand available data and business objectives of numerous business lines including ticketing, sponsorship, digital commerce, fan marketing, digital media and social media

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience working with SQL 
  • 2+ years’ experience building dashboards in Tableau or similar technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouses
  • Understanding of relational database schema design
  • Must possess problem-solving capabilities to discover, address and resolve issues
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for many different organizational departments 
  • Ability to manage external vendors 
  • Independent worker with close attention to detail 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
