The New York Jets are seeking a highly-creative and driven Seasonal Video Producer to join their award-winning production team for the 2022 season.   This position will play an integral role in editing and producing content for all of the team’s media platforms, including multiple broadcast television shows, digital properties, social media platforms and feature productions. The ideal candidate will be creative, driven and be able to take direction when needed but also contribute ideas that sets them apart from others. This is an opportunity to learn and grow in a professional production environment. To be considered, all applicants must submit a reel that demonstrates an ability to shoot and edit at a high level with an eye for storytelling.
Responsibilities:
  • Produce, shoot and edit video content for all Jets platforms.  This includes but is not limited to player highlights, broadcast features and interviews.
  • Log and manage footage of practices, games and feature shoots working in an organized and detailed manner.
  • Edit and produce community relations features, brand spots and commercials understanding the importance of the Jets brand through visual storytelling. 
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing production equipment, including cameras, lights, lenses, rigs and any other gear used to support shoots.
  • Build motion graphics that can be used for social media platforms or used to enhance video productions.
  • Serve as B-Shooter on feature shoots with players, coaches and fans
  • Shoot practice, games and community events for the New York Jets
  • Serve as Assistant Editor for all feature productions, including signature team docuseries, One Jets Drive.  Assist producers and editors with research, finding footage, laying out video stringers and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist Media Manager with logging and managing all game and feature footage. Footage should be organized and managed so that editors and producers can find all necessary shots.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated communicator and extremely creative individual who follows direction and functions well in a dynamic production environment
  • Candidate will have a demonstrated editing ability and feel comfortable in a production environment.  This person will have a working knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere and After Effects) and all necessary components to succeed in any production capacity.  
  • Candidate must be able to take direction, learn and adapt in a changing industry.  
  • Basic knowledge of cameras so that this candidate can assist with production shoots when necessary. 
  • Candidate must be comfortable working around Jets players and coaches and somebody that we can trust in any situation to perform the necessary job functions.
  • Some travel may be required for feature productions and road games
  • Candidate must be willing to work non - traditional hours that include nights, weekends, holidays and work within the demands of an NFL schedule.
  • Candidate will be a recent or upcoming college graduate that has proven production experience in a college, pro sports or other professional environment.
  • A reel must be submitted that demonstrates an ability to shoot and edit at a high level with an eye for visual storytelling.
