Manager, Strategy
Reports to: Vice President, Finance and Analytics

Summary
The Strategy Manager will provide organization-wide support for evaluating and/or executing key business opportunities.  The role will partner with internal and external stakeholders to help understand and communicate business challenges and solutions across all revenue streams, the fan experience, and emerging trends within the NFL, other Leagues, and the broader entertainment industry.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a partner to leaders throughout the organization to evaluate business opportunities; gather disparate information, organize thoughts, challenge assumptions, and articulate conclusions for broader consumption
  • Play a key role in evaluating and implementing the New York Jets’ International Expansion efforts
  • Prepare periodic and ad hoc updates for the New York Jets President and Ownership group regarding current business performance and future opportunities
  • Provide organizational support to distill, understand, and execute various League-wide opportunities (e.g., Legalized Sports Betting, Blockchain, NFTs)
  • In collaboration with senior executives, contribute to and compile annual business planning documents for Executive (and Ownership) consumption, including consolidated financials
  • Prepare competitive intelligence reports regarding product offerings and developments within our immediate Designated Market Area (“DMA”), the NFL, other sports leagues, and the broader entertainment industry
  • Cultivate organization-wide relationships through listening, understanding challenges, and providing solutions
  • Lead and execute occasional unique project opportunities in emerging/innovative areas (e.g., in-stadium mobile ordering)

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree (or focus) in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related field; MBA a plus
  • 4-5 years of work experience in consulting, strategy, business planning or related field
  • Proven acumen for creating solutions and seeing them through to execution
  • Ability to seek out and gather information from disparate, seemingly disconnected sources for synthesis into concise conclusions
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to evaluate challenges from multiple points of view
  • Curious thinker and problem solver with willingness to ask questions and challenge assumptions
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships with organizational stakeholders across all levels, backgrounds, and responsibilities
