Job Description
A summer intern in the New York Jets Communications Department plays a versatile role in the day-to-day training camp operations of the department. Our goal is to introduce you to what takes place within a professional team’s communication department while receiving hands on experience working with players, coaches and media. We are looking for qualified and dedicated individuals who have a proven ability to learn and adapt all while distinguishing themselves at the college level or in similar positions. This position is for college credit.

  • Monitor and record social media, TV and the internet for team-related posts
  •  Record and transcribe press conferences and player availability
  • Draft media releases and itineraries
  • Fill credential requests
  • Write and edit media guide and weekly game release
  • Facilitate player interviews
  • Facilitate player interviews
  • Miscellaneous statistical and research projects
  • Daily interaction with media members
  • Work with other departments on various projects and assignments
  • College student enrolled in Communications, Public Relations or related major
  • Strong writing skills; proven experience in use of AP style preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a plus
  • Experience with football statistics and statistic websites a plus
  • Experience with social media a plus
  • Hours vary based on your specific school credit requirements 
  • Position is based in Florham Park, NJ. Potential travel to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ is possible. Candidate is required to provide own transportation to and from locations.
