This position is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting operations of the Miami Dolphins and its related entities.  The primary focus of the role will be assisting with Miami Dolphins Foundation, Dolphins Cancer Challenge, project accounting and settlements and have event game day responsibilities.  All facets of the accounting process for this role could include ticket and sponsor reconciliations, invoicing, bank reconciliations, GL reconciliations, monthly close procedures, and ad hoc projects.

  • Lead the financial planning and budgeting process for the Miami Dolphins Foundation
  • Issue timely and accurate financial reporting to key stakeholders on a monthly basis
  • Record and reconcile all Foundation and Dolphins Cancer Challenge sponsorships and fundraising activities
  • Execute the monthly close process for the Foundation and Dolphins Cancer Challenge
  • Participate in financial audits and with the compilation of tax returns
  • Accounting for Hard Rock Stadium Events, including creating estimates, settlements and client invoices 
  • Responsible for assisting with financial reporting and analysis for all Events held at the stadium 
  • Willingness to work on other ad hoc projects and analyses as required
  • Game Day responsibilities
  • Accounting for outer lot entities 
  • Fixed asset and Construction in Process accounting

Experience / Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting 
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred 
  • 1-3 years relevant experience 
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends 
  • Detail oriented, ambitious, organized, team player

  • Strong Computer Skills – Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs with advanced strengths in Excel and PowerPoint, ideally experienced in Great Plains as well
  • Seeking Continuous Improvement – Adept at learning new software and confidently engaging with technology
